New class: Fall 2026
Watercolor for beginners at the Minneapolis Institure of Art.
Join instructor Coco Connolly and explore some of the fundamental techniques of watercolor painting. Each week you’ll learn a different skill, such as wet in wet for blending and soft gradients, wet on dry for details, and glazing for glowing effects.
You’ll have the opportunity to apply what you learn to a painting each week inspired by the still life and landscape works of David Hockney. Demonstrations and handouts of each week’s lesson will support you in your learning journey.
5 week session starting on September 12.
Classes will be Saturday mornings from 10am to 12:30pm
