She did hire Warhol, Ben Shahn and other artists to illustrate articles in the magazines she art directed. I can’t believe I didn’t know about her until Wendy Macnaughton, Maria Popova, Debbie Millman, and Sarah Rich joined forces to get a book of Cipe’s illustrated recipes published in 2017.
