Life, still life, botanical, and landscape painter.
Revisiting my sketch of the Flowers in Mala’ai School Garden. Trying a much larger format, 22in x 30in. I miss some of the looseness of the sketch, below. But, enjoyed the experiment of going big.

Upcoming Watercolor Classes: Summer 2025
Hello art lovers. Get your watercolor supplies ready!
I’m going to be teaching this summer at the Minnetonka Center for the Arts,
sharing techniques to loosen up and get comfortable with the wild world of watercolor.
Inspired by Summer, we'll explore the abundance of our gardens for subject matter, painting a new subject every week. We can focus on a single flower, a favorite tree, or zoom out and capture the clouds.
Through demos, discussions, and painting sessions in class, we'll cover essential watercolor techniques, including working wet-into-wet to create blended transitions and soft edges, color mixing, and basic
composition skills.
Classes will be on Tuesday mornings from 9:30am to 12:30pm, the first of two 5 week sessions begins June 17.
Hit the link below for more info. Registration starts on May 5.
